Intro to Sports Betting & How to play on BC.GAME
Sports betting is a popular pastime that’s been around for centuries. Spending an afternoon or evening has always been fun and exciting. You can now place bets on your favorite sports at the online betting website, BC.GAME! We’ve made it easy to get started, so you’ll be ready to place your first bet in no time.
What is the difference between physical and online sports betting?
- Physical sports betting is where you go to a physical location where people behind a counter take your bet and hand you tickets. You then show these at the window and collect your winnings if your team wins.
- Online sports betting is when you place your bet through an online platform, usually from the comfort of your own home or office. Many other sites like Cointelegraph are available for newbies in this type of gambling.
How to keep track of your bets?
- A bet slip is the most vital tool to use while placing a bet. It keeps track of your bets and shows the ones which have been won or lost. You can find it at the bottom of your screen while playing. To make one, click “New Bet” at the top right corner of your screen.
- To fill out your bet slip, type in how much money you want to wager on this match, then click “Submit.” The rest will take care of itself! If you’ve placed more than one bet for this event, repeat steps 1-4 for each one that needs filling out until all are completed (and then enjoy watching them all play).
What are the bet types?
There are some different types of bets you can make on BC.GAME. Each type has a specific payout structure.
Here are the most common bet types:
- Straight Bet – A straight bet is simply picking the winner of an event, for example, “New York Rangers.” If you pick correctly, you win your money back plus your stake (the amount you bet) multiplied by your odds. If you don’t pick correctly, you lose everything!
- Parlay – A parlay involves multiple bets on different matches or events that must win for you to win any money! For example, you could put $10 on Dallas to beat Pittsburgh in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals with odds set at -120 (meaning if they win, they return +122), as well as another $10 with odds set at +170 that Dallas would also beat Nashville in game 2 of the series and again return +172). That would be a $20 wager, but if both picks came through, you would get paid $180 instead since they’re considered two separate bets so long as you place them together before their respective games.
What are the odds?
The odds are the ratio of the amount you can win to the amount you must bet. Odds expressed as a positive number, and they calculated using the decimal format. In other words, if your bet wins $49.50, your original stake is $1, and your winning payout will be 1/1 = 100%. The lowest odds you can find in sports betting is 100%, so it’s important to remember that anything less than that means there’s an element of risk involved with betting on that event or team.
Ex: If you place $10 on an underdog at -150 odds and they win: You’ll receive 15/10 = 1.5x your original wager (15 x $10 = $150 total profit)
How to use sports betting websites?
To place a bet on BC.GAME, click on the event you wish to bet on. You will then be prompted to choose your stake, and the odds are shown in a percentage format. The green button means that you have placed a bet at these odds, while the red one means that the system has rejected your stake because it was too small or large compared to the available odds. If this happens and there is still enough time until the event begins (this varies per sport), try again and choose different stakes or events as appropriate!
You can also use the “Multiple Stakes” feature when betting on multiple events at once: Select how much each event will cost, and we’ll automatically calculate all bets for you! Visit Top US Online Sportsbooks and Betting Sites.
